Personally I would like Pitt,Louisville,VA Tech,NC.The rivalries would be awesome.FSU is to much of headache.
The Big XII's confidence comes from the fact that the B1G wants ND, and the SEC wants UNC. And until they get them off the board they won't take anyone. IF ND goes B1G they'll pick their partner, and they do not want FSU. They would probably block FSU. So FSU is pretty much dead to the B1G. The SEC will be taking UNC/UVA, those schools could be coming with baggage (NCState, VT, Duke) so it's real possible that the SEC would not want to go beyond 20. So it is very likely that FSU/Clemson don't have a path to either B1G or SEC.
So much collusion going on. Moving chips, connecting dots. ESPN knows ACC is no longer relevant even with Tigers and Seminoles for the next 12 years. Whatever they said before bs. Just announced if those 2 schools leave there will be no contract extension after this one ends. More expansion. They want every game to matter$$$$
The math is as follows. Fsu Clem to b12. Espn renegotiate Acc to 20M per school.
Espn saves 300M per year…
The Big XII is confident because they think they might have something lined up. They are confident because they know they can provide the best long term solution. If they get the teams they want, I bet they'll have the finances to compete in the short term and be able to secure "power 2" money in the long term. BY doesn't care about what the SEC/B1G want or what their plans are, he's going to kick their ass.
