Provincial and territorial leaders hold a news conference following the Council of the Federation’s three-day meeting in Halifax. In his opening statement, Nova Scotia premier and council chair Tim Houston calls on the federal government to more actively collaborate with the provinces on important files.

Houston is joined by premiers Andrew Furey (Newfoundland and Labrador), Dennis King (Prince Edward Island), Blaine Higgs (New Brunswick), François Legault (Québec), Doug Ford (Ontario), Wab Kinew (Manitoba), Scott Moe (Saskatchewan), Danielle Smith (Alberta), David Eby (British Columbia), P.J. Akeeagok (Nunavut), R.J. Simpson (Northwest Territories), and Ranj Pillai (Yukon).
