In this video, we will explore three carbon-negative countries that are leading the way in the fight against climate change. Bhutan, Suriname, and Panama are all small countries with large forest cover. These forests absorb more carbon dioxide than they emit, making these countries carbon-negative.

Bhutan is the world’s first carbon-negative country. It has a constitutional commitment to environmental protection, and over 70% of the country is covered in forest. Suriname is the world’s second carbon-negative country. It has over 97% forest cover, making it the most heavily forested nation on the planet. Panama is the third carbon-negative country. More than 55% of its territory is covered in forest, and over 33% of the land is protected. Panama is working to reforest 50,000 hectares of land by 2050.

These three countries are showing the world that it is possible to be carbon-negative. They are leading the way in the fight against climate change, and they are an inspiration to us all.
