More failures from red flag country China.

  • @annarboriter

Any structure or system in the PRC which require routine maintenance is long for this world

  • @bloodytoad2010

The building in singapore is park royal collection Pickering. It's a hotel.

  • @DianaProudmoore

They built houses for the plants FOR FREE~

  • @briandufoe3719

    Plastic plants,
China loves plastic plants, look any where you'll see plastic plants.

  • @tonysheerness2427

All the foliage will just attract wild animals like rats, monkeys etc to scale the buildings plus all the insects that live on plants.

  • @justfacts1308

The real question here is why American companies such as the Dish Network is allowed to broadcast the English and Spanish channels on CGTN?

They should have their broadcast license pulled until its removed. Its treason!

The CCP makes the Nazis look like a bunch of Girl Scouts. Conservatively the CCP has been involved in at least 450 millions deaths since the 1920s Chinese Civil War. Their forced abortion programs alone, by their own admission, killed at least 332 million. The highest estimate for all of WWII is 85 million.

In our place there are some trees with some kind of fruits. Every year, few aiyis come with long sticks, break branches, and grab fruits.

  • @elliotlambert3817

China may make a mistake they then go and fix it, America make a mistake and sell it to the rest of the world as the best. Listening to these school boys makes me worried about the wests future, they use the Grinch in their fairytale opinions.

  • @LetsFixITJoe

we had once back in time a Green Party Porpaganda to green house walls….they did a lot of noise about it as usually austrians do about all — and did nOT delivery it to the masses….thats hwo green party works…lot of hot air – no practice

  • @epsilon-1138

knowing the quality of chinese buildings and add more weight like soil and plants it's a disaster waiting to happen

  • @blengi

easier to cover in ivy like all those european buildings have been doing for centuries

  • @shad0wCh8ser

If Disney can keep mosquitos out of Florida… it's possible, if only they tried.

But the funny thing is that I keep fish and the new guppy tank exploded with babies! And my mom was on weChat with my aunt (they're in their 70's) and she made a joke and said to scoop out the baby fishes and add them to make soup! ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ˜ต I'm like these dang Chinese ppl won't leave my pets alone! PETS are not FOOD! mmmkay?! Being a 1st gen Chinese American is so hard… gotta fight racism and yo family from eating everything! And they are literally tearing up the yard trying to plant invasive plants โ€”which make me have the hardest time trying to pull everything out bc of the HOA! ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

  • @F_Around_and_find_out

My dad owns a house, and a lot of plants because he loves gardening. It can take him hours to water all the plants especially in the summer. And then there's the pest control. But he's a handy man, he can take care of it. As far as I can tell he was into gardening before I was born, and still doing it now, decades worth of experience.
Scales all of the above (except handy man) to what you have seen in the CCTN clip, and the whole task becomes astronomical. All I see are water guzzler towers.

  • @Weniger_Anzeigen

I just love how the freeze frame / title card from the CGTN video looks like someone abandoned a few well built (aka non chinese) buildings for 30 years and now theyโ€˜re making a documentary about the wild reclaiming urban areas.

    Likeโ€ฆ Yes it looks green.
But not in they way people want. Thatโ€˜s โ€žwe didnโ€˜t have the money for a gardener and canโ€˜t be bothered to do it ourselvesโ€œ.
Not โ€žweโ€˜ve got this beautiful apartment that combines luxury and nature

the Chinese civilization evolutes from agrarian society, so the self-sufficient mindsets are rooted in their mind deeply, that's why the Chinese like the plant vegetables and fruits in their unoccupied lands. on the contrary, the Europe civilization evolutes from pastoral society, and the looting mindset are rooted in their mind deeply. that's why they just loot everything they like.

  • @guybutler5305

Park royal hotel in Singapore is the building you are referring to. Rooms have windows with fly screens. But donโ€™t think there were balconies. Didnโ€™t see any bugs.

  • @iluvsilva8236

Given that Chinese buildings aren't built to last, why would anyone buy into these apartments with so many trees, plants, or soils?
These balconies are going to collapse in 10-15 years especially in areas with strong winds or typhoons.

"they will rip out flowers and start planting vegetables wherever they can"

youre complaining about that?….. thats a GOOD thing…. its better to grow edible plants than decorative ones.
sure, the other things you mentioned are problems….. thats not one of them…. id call that an improvement.

  • @Darkstar-se6wc

Draining the pool rather than using a few mosquito dunks โ€ฆ SMH.

  • @jdmjr1130

    Another stupidity by the chinese๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  • @Wellthoughtout

There is a residential building that is covered in plants in Sydney. The strata cost is 20,000 dollars per year for a 2 bedroom apartment. The strata cost is 4 times the normal cost of strata for a similar apartment. The price of the apartment is about 1/3 lower than anything in the area because of the cost of owning the apartment. So clearly this is a terrible idea and if it in china it would be done with little care and would be catastrophic for the value of the property and the liveability of the apartment.

  • @user-ih9ec1vd1o

china is fucked thanks to the ccp leadership

  • @scottymitch1

Here's a project for you guys. Tell everyone where Xi's family members are and which other citizenships they hold. The US is a shit show like most of the West but they all want to be educated there or have citizenship of.

  • @DaleSteadman

I remember when I was in Hong Kong in 2009 on TV they were constantly putting out PSA about removing puddles or standing water to keep the misquotes from breeding, what a contrast from mainland China.

  • @Sir……

spoiler: minnows grow larger…. into normal fish …

  • @johndoh5182

It's not one building in Singapore that has plant space up the side of the building, it's MANY, and to add ANY new building has to be built this way in Singapore. Their laws require that for whatever ground space a building occupies, it must provide at least the same amount of growing area.

It works well in Singapore because they know what they're doing. People who go to Singapore notice how cool it is walking around outside compared to say getting away from Singapore a few miles. Singapore is full of wildlife again, it's basically a city in a jungle now.

And no, Singapore isn't going to change this though they WILL expand this as old buildings come down and new ones go up

  • @roberttorrance731

Itโ€™s annoying that on some buildings and even in some offices, plants and green walls are perceived as making the building โ€™greenโ€™. Its actually the energy and resources consumption profile and of course the initial concrete pour ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • @TheAussief1

Wonder if they allowed for the weight of the mature plants.

  • @user-ko6jm7sb9t

  • @animusadvertere3371

Trees on buildings are one of those ideas that sound good until you think about it for one second, then you realize it's a terrible idea.

  • @yaboibSLT

Maybe the tofu buildings will hold together better if the roots bind the materials ๐Ÿ˜‚

    Prolix nattering

  • @bernardlouis4629

The city of fountains with no water lol. Most new buildings have beautiful fountains there which they turn on until all the units are sold. Then after that they never turn them on again ๐Ÿ˜‚ Same goes for outdoor escalators.

  • @wild13hawk

Birds and bats are excellent controls for insects. Real shame if you somehow lost those populations sometime in the past. ๐Ÿ˜ถ

  • @breakwhiskey2863

There is nothing sustainable when a product has a label: Made in China. That is just how it is. You buy cheap things and that's it๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  • @susannayeu4471

The Chinese leaders all have small brains, that's why they come up with such stupid but hilarious ideas. haha

  • @MelodyMan69

Chinese Developer has also planned a similar Building in Melbourne (Australia) Southbank precienct. ๐Ÿ‘€
