Beautiful video and kudos to the villagers for helping preserve this wonderful biodiversity!
Waao..amazing.
May Mother nature bless you all.
Great work ….
Wonderful effort by the people of Velas !
Noisy tourists disturbing their privacy. These places should be just for the turtles. Money by tourism is the downfall
Habibi… Come to Odisha… Rusikulya beach
Great work done by the villgers
india is full of tourist attractions, both natural and man made, the problem lack of awareness and support from government in looking after them…..
when people could not understand that the turtles come out of egg, how our ancient indians had vimanas…..was sanatana so advanced as we boast now….😅
great
Olive Ridley Turtle's largest natural hatching ground of India is at the coast of Gahirmatha beach, Odisha but it's unheard to many outsiders.
This is holistic development
This shows how much locals or society can play vital role in conservation. Please maintain this as ecotourism.
Olive Ridley 🐢 Turtles!
Great example of how an eco-conscious tourism can be developed to spread awareness along with conservation. Also, getting the local, indigenous community actively involved has ensured that their future generations will carry on the legacy.
The two sides of my country.

Ur videos are amazing, keep moving us with your knowledgeable words
WOnderful, I hope I can visit this beautiful place. I commend the people, everyone involed in the conservation of the turtles. This village is a role model and I hope more such places adopt this village's initiative. I have visited a simialr turtle release program in Texas. It is really exhiliarting to see those super cute tiny ones stepping out into the real world and hopefully they all come back to the same beach and lay their own eggs.
It's amazing that the organisation has used the people who poached to protect the land.
However, my question remains. What happens when the footfall increases? And Kayaking increases? I'm sure it would affect the fauna when human activities increase.
Great Work Scroll As Always 👏👏👏
Smart move Maharashtra !!!
One step forward in the right direction, preserve what is left of what makes this planet such a jewel, way too much damage has been done already, if we can't change the current path to utter destruction of the environment, WE will suffer tremendously and pay a price which will be of no relation to any market value, the value of a healthy environment can't be measured in $$$!
Lovely. Going there 5 May from Thane.
❤
In Vizag, we can watch even closely. Sometimes, we are allowed to RELEASE them too. So cute lil ones these are!
I think this is wonderful — teaching peple to take care os vulnerable animals. India has wonderful wildlife – some don't exist elesewhere. Time for Indians to take care of their 'heritage'…Great work and please keep this going !
