ERIA | Asia CCUS Network Workshop on CCUS Model Case Study

The CCUS Model Case Study workshop was organised by Mitsubishi Research Institute Inc., Japan (MRI) in collaboration with the Asia CCUS Network on 18 January 2022. This workshop discussed the ‘Cost Structure of CCUS and the Legal Framework’ to support the deployment of CCUS in the Asia region.

MRI researchers opened the workshop by sharing their insights on ‘Outcome of Model Case Study, Cost Analysis, and Policy Proposal’, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Ms Kikuko Shinchi from MRI. The panel discussion included the following topics: CAPEX/OPEX reduction potential, policy/legal requirement, regional cooperation approach, further project development towards commercialisation, and findings from model case exercise of CCUS.
