There’s no question about it, the climate emergency must be tackled urgently. With the clout to change business behaviour by compelling the companies they invest in to hasten the transition to a low-carbon economy, the investment industry is just the sector to do this.
A group of the world’s largest investors has joined forces to radically reduce global carbon emissions by ensuring their portfolios are carbon-neutral by 2050. This marks a milestone in the development of the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance, as sixteen members welcome another influential and well-known investor to their group. Hear what some of the world’s financial heavyweights are planning next and the concrete actions they will be taking to ensure a low-carbon economy is attainable.
The press conference will be joined by Tom Joy, Chief Investment Officer of the Church Commissioners – the endowment fund of the Church of England.
