This lecture is about how to calculate oxidation number or how to find oxidation state easily. In this animated lecture, I will teach you the super easy trick to find oxidation number in redox reactions and rules of oxidation number.

Q: What is oxidation number?
Ans: Oxidation state or oxidation number is the apparent charges on an atom, ion or molecule.
Oxidation state and oxidation number are the same thing.
For example, consider a neutral atom of sodium. The oxidation number or state of the neutral sodium atom is zero. It is because the apparent charge of neutral sodium is zero.

To learn more about calculation of oxidation number and oxidation states, watch this lecture till the end.
