This video explores a hypothetical naval conflict between China and Japan, focusing on the strategic decisions, military assets, and alliances that could shape the outcome. With China seeking control over the Senkaku Islands and broader dominance in the Indo-Pacific, the scenario examines hour-by-hour developments, including surprise attacks, U.S. and South Korean involvement, and the potential for a large-scale war. Will Japan, with its allies, withstand China’s aggression, or will Xi Jinping’s ambitions succeed?

Biden doesn't even know where he is or what he's doing and should be in a retirement home in the metal care division.
If Japan calls Joey Biden for assistance they might not even get a coherent response

Due to logistic constraints, China did not ACTIVELY asserted it's claim for some time. If you have 2 houses, one in X city the other in Y city and you most of the time live in X city returning to Y occasionally. You return to Y after Z claims that your house there belongs to him. Would you tamely let X have it or would you assert your right over it? Would it sound stupid if some people like you claims that I claim ownership of Y because of some DURIAN TREES planted in its compound (which fruits now fetch good prices)?

As far as readyness and strategy US n Japan has a huge advantage, US has a lot of battle experience, thats why Xi is still thinking deep whether to invade Taiwan or Japan… dont 4get that Japan is once a world power.

I see many of the comments are taking direct issue with the video's assumptions, which is understandable. Keep in mind, however, this is a 'What If' scenario, and it's proposing what could be not what 'will' be. Anytime you try to imagine a scenario like this, it is impossible to realistically replicate the 'human factor' or the 'Fog of War'. Anytime real-live breathing, walking, talking human beings are involved – SHIT HAPPENS, no video game or fantasy can replicate it. At least give them credit for trying. Semper Fidelis! This scenario is highly implausible.

While China could launch a surprise attack under the cover of its ongoing incursions into Japanese territorial waters. Its unlikely that Japan would be caught completely unaware.

So the predicted inital loses for the JMSDF are overstated. There is also little mention of the role that submarines would play in such a conflict. Even though Japan has very capable submarines and submariners.

In the event of an open conflict the US Navy would not leave its assets in the 7th fleet within striking range of Chinese aircraft or missiles. Those ships would sortie and position themselves somewhere in to the east of Japan.

Chinese capabilities are also wildly overstated here. Their two aircraft carriers Laioning and Shandong have very limited striking power. Their J-15's cant launch with anywhere near full combat loads of fuel and weapons. As such they would really only be useful as combat air patrol to protect PLAN vessels from Japanese strikes.

If they were configured for a strike mission against JMSDF or USN assets they would likely have to launch without air to air missiles for self defense. Or with a small enough weapons load to allow max fuel for a round trip. As China has extremely limited air refueling capaibilty and none that is indigenous to its carriers.

The scenario also seems to exclude or dramatically limit the involvment of the Japanese Air Force. Especially in the first two weeks of the conflict. The JASDF would be involved from the onset. Their pilots are well trained in maritime strike missions as until very recently the JMSDF had no indigenous air combat arm.

Missing quite a few other countries here too. India and Australia, as part of the Quad agreement, would come to Japans aid as well as every country China has put off side with its South China Sea claim. They all have skin in that game because if Japan loses they lose too

Interesting, but it doesn't seem too realistic. South Korea will be attacked concurrently by North Korea. Moreover, the US forces in Japan will not be so passive. They will be 'at sea' by that time.

Lots of good points in the video and many more in the comments. The one thing I don't see that I definitely would strongly consider is Japan immediately sinking all empty Chinese flagged oil tankers as soon as the ballon goes up… with an immediate announcement that by all empty oil tanks would start to be sunk at 24 hours, and all tankers heading towards China at 48. All commercial shipping to be targeted at 72. Limits the environmental damage, but makes it clear China's economy is going down hard. My thought is given the way shipping works ALL shipping would be instructed to immediately leave the war zone. I've also read about plans to attack the 3 Gorges Dam. It would be a horrific thing to do but it would devastate so many aspects of China's economy and life.

No one will be sitting around. Taiwan is now one of most militarized place on earth and has defense agreement with Japan. Fighters assembled and help from all directions against those only good on paper. Within a day, Carriers from different countries arrived as they are close by. There is just no chance. Trump once said Beijing will rain fire once war starts if he’s in the office. I don’t think any war will start in Asia and they got their internal problems to deal with.
