This talk is about design aspects of Nuclear Power Plants with particular emphasis on Indian Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors or PHWRs. As, India’s current indigenous nuclear power program is primarily based on the Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors. This talk aims to provide correct information to viewers and to the general public about the design aspects of nuclear power plants. Safe design of a nuclear power plant is ensured at all the stages, right from site selection, design, construction and operation to decommissioning. And all these aspects are in accordance with strict quality and safety standards.
