The European Commission has presented concrete measures to reduce the EU’s greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030 from 1990 levels. While ‘Fit for 55’ is the world’s first tangible plan to target carbon neutrality, critics argue it is too weak and too slow.

There is an affordable solution to climate change. Meers mirrors probably our greatest hope, but awareness of them need to be spread and governments need to be elected on the promise they'll deploy these meers mirrors. Spread this message about. Spread it everywhere you can. We can beat global warming, the technology exists but we need people to spread this message everywhere as soon as possible

Austria cuts the forests of Romania and Poland in a joy.
It blocks the construction of nuclear power plants in Eastern Europe. and let's not forget the Automotive sector. which is severely affected. And who will pay for this Eastern Europe. Because 60% of the component and machine manufacturing industry is concentrated there …

Carbon neutral by 2050 is too late.
We have to hit 2030, along with a massive drive to remove CO2 from the atmosphere.

That the unfortunate reality we face and no amount of slick video productions by CNBC are going to change that.

It is now predicted, we will hit 1.5c of warming above the base line, by 2028 – 1.5c above is in the realms of catastrophic change.
We will reach 2c by 2040, if not before.

Uhm… we're in this predicament because we have too many people on the planet and all those people want jobs and that gives them money to buy resources that destroy the planet.

Turn the deserts of the world into solar power plants making electricity, hydrogen, fresh water from the sun and sea water. Create forests and towns and cities there too. Show the world we can heal the earth by repairing the damaged deserts and bringing them back to life.. do this before you tie your hands with carbon neutral..

The real game changer is globalisation. Long distance transportation of information, people and goods costs nearly nothing. On the other hand, bureaucracy is very expensive. It does not make sense to make Europe a paradise for people that live from bureaucracy and subsidies and a hell for people that produce something.

Drastically lowering the volume of products consumed would certainly help. Banning non-recyclable non-biodegradable materials to eventually see a closing of landfill sites and reduce our methane production (lets not just focus on CO2 since methane is about 80 times more potent as a greenhouse gas than CO2)
