When the UK stupidly decided to leave the EU there was talk of importing beef from Australia, but it was said that Australian beef cattle are fed growth hormones. Can you shed any light on whether this is true or not please?
I worked there for 4 years. Let me tell you the what really happens in the Kilcoy Global Foods abattoir.
-Hardy anyone washes their hands after using the bathroom. I’ve seen this numerous times every day.
-E coli positive meats. Absolutely dangerous.
-I see maintenance workers using the fire exits to come in and out of the buildings. It might not sound bad but unlike the commonly used entrance and exit doors, the fire exit doors lead straight outside with nothing to repel the insects from coming in. I raised this concern with QA staff multiple times and I was ignored. I personally have footage on my phone of insects crawling on the meat. If you send me your contact, I’ll send you the video.
-Supervisor was caught doing the deed in the bathroom with an employee. He was not fired and she continued to work like nothing happened.
-Payroll. Some jobs will accidentally give you the wrong pay from time to time but this place will do it on the regular, it seems like the pay system is corrupted. They asked me to come in for my 7th day in a row for over time, but they only paid for 6 days. When I asked about the rest of the pay, they said they can’t pay anyone for 7 days because it’s illegal, yet they asked me to come in.
-Meat always drops on the floor and we are told to pick it up and process it.
-Meat that has been carried over for days tends to go off and we are told to change the date of that product to make it look like it was a fresh piece of meat.
-Halal and non halal get mixed up so much that they just count from a random set of bodies just to make it seem right on paper.
-Wagyu marbling gets graded and then numbers are changed around to make more profit. Eg (MB4-5 are sent as 6-7)
-This meat from Kilcoy is contaminated and the place will lie just to make an extra buck.
That’s so cool that there is a testing facility like that. I never knew there were such places as this but makes perfect sense. Must be a great career doing that
Mate long time been stoked with your vids, this answered a few of my questions and glad to see your subs growing too. I have lived in Turkey for the last 2 years and am a big steak man. Hard here because they use old dairy cows to be meat cattle after they dry up, economy….. anyways I was wondering if you could do a corned beef because it’s easy to find tough meat here ahahahahah I will be sure to thank you if you do.
That is a cool job for a chef. You don’t have the same crazy pressure of a restaurant kitchen. You can take your time over what you cook and how you cook it. The only question is who gets to taste what you have cooked?

Carbon neutral. lol.
I'm curious what makes that thing near the end a dedicated pasta cooker?
