New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced on Thursday that by 2035 all new vehicles sold in the state of New York state will be zero-emission, according to the state’s new clean energy and climate goals. The requirements for new vehicle sales that are zero-emission will gradually increase for the next twelve years, with 35% being required by 2026, 68% by 2030, and 100% by 2035.
