“Meet Daniel Paguaga, owner of Relentless Coffee Roasters in Miami, FL.

Daniel’s “Cold Brew Station” is around 400 sq. ft., allowing Relentless Coffee Roasters to take their business almost anywhere in Miami. Because of its small size, the Cold Brew Station can fit in places where other food trucks can’t.

In addition to the Cold Brew Station, Daniel and Relentless Coffee Roasters will be opening their first cafe in the Allapattah Market. Relentless Coffee Roasters will be a permanent vendor, but there will be a farmers market aspect with rotating businesses bringing in new ideas.

What inspired Daniel to start Relentless Coffee Roasters was seeing his grandfather’s passion for coffee. Daniel saw this passion first hand in Nicaragua, and he wanted to make sure others could experience that through a great cup of coffee.

00:01 My name is Daniel Choiseul Paguaga from Miami, Florida.
00:07 I own Relentless Coffee Roasters and Cold Brew Station.
00:11 We’re pretty synonymous with nitro cold brew coffee.
00:13 Cold brew is something that’s been doing well all across the U.S. and so the Cold Brew Station is our take on that.
00:20 It’s definitely helped us realize we can literally do this concept with something that is around to 300 square feet and so we kind of wanted to move around and test different areas and really find where our target client was through actual r and d.
00:37 The truck honestly is the perfect size.
00:40 It is small but I think we’ve made the best out of the space that it provides us.
00:42 We’re very good at working in tight spaces.
00:46 I think the truck allowed us flexibility.
00:48 It allows us to maneuver in tight spaces and in to other places where perhaps someone wouldn’t want a full-blown truck.
00:54 Miami right now is in a very interesting state, there’s a lot of growth going on in a bunch of different sectors.
01:00 Wynwood is crazy right now. Wynwood is a huge driver when it comes to everything artisanal, so the Wynwood Walls is very popular area in Wynwood in which they have a bunch of different murals that have been created by some of the greatest artists across the world. 01:15 Wynwood has been kind of stirring the pot.
01:16 For a long time, it was very difficult to kind of go against the grain and go against tradition, where now, places like Wynwood are kind of showing that it’s okay to challenge tradition and it’s okay to mess with your mom’s Cafecito.
01:28 I’m ecstatic that it exists and I hope it continues to kind of push that envelope and really create a new culture in Miami.
01:34 You know, we’ve been doing this for a long time and we have been wanting to use some aspect of retail and this project kind of presented itself.
01:46 It’s something that we really believe in called the Allapattah Market
01:48 This is I think something that is going to really cause a stir in Miami and drive people to it because it’s kind of like a one-off. you have
01:58 You have permanent vendors, which we’ll be one of them and it’s great, it’s Relentless’s first café, but it’s also going to facilitate a farmers market aspect which is really cool because you’re going to kind of see these people coming in that are selling something one-off and unique, so hopefully should drive a lot of new ideas and a lot of neat concepts.
02:16 One of the main things that kind of drove me starting Relentless Roasters was my grandfather’s passion for coffee.
02:23 I spent a lot of time on the ground, on the farms in Nicaragua and I saw his work ethic and all the passion he had put into his coffee and I kind of wanted to be sure that people were able to experience that through a great cup of coffee.
